Scientists propose a new kind of debate
Two scientists supposedly looking for middle ground in the evolution debate both agree that the place to start is a premise where everyone agrees that the "facts about evolution are indisputable".
Are you serious? Did you know that Simon Conway Morris has written that the Cambrian explosion remains unexplained? Are you aware that the entire fossil record overwhelmingly shows stasis rather than the small, gradual changes predicted by Darwinian evolution? Did you know that closed-system genetics experiments have failed to demonstrate macro-evolution (new genes/novel functions) in bacteria? Do you seriously still believe in “RNA World”? (snicker, snicker, how about the protein shake drinking fairies who made the first ATP?)
Wow, for being scientists you guys sure know how to make quick work of "the facts". I wouldn’t want to bet on your ability to design a good debate however. “Hey everybody, could we just start this debate with everyone agreeing with us?”
